LAGAN VALLEY is pleased to announce the promotion of   major MILE races at the final Young Athlete Series on Thursday 17th August at 8.00pm.  Thanks to sponsorship from Zen Restaurant there will be a generous prize structure in both Men's and Women's Mile

1st.  £80  2nd £50  3rd £30  4th £20  in each race.

LAGAN VALLEY YOUNG ATHLETE SERIES 2006

Lagan Valley Athletic Club are pleased to announce the promotion of their 16th Annual Young Athlete Series. This year sees some changes to the format of the competition which will no longer come under the River Rock banner. There will however continue to be a Series of five meetings which will offer competitive opportunities for athletes of all ages with the major emphasis being on those athletes born within the two years bands 1989/1990, 1991/1992, 1993/1994. There will also be introductory events available at each of the meetings for younger athletes born after 1994. Senior athletes will be able as always to compete as guests in events available at each meeting for the older age grouping (1989/1990).

Entry fees have been held at £2.00 per athlete regardless of number of events.

NO ATHLETE MAY COMPETE IN EVENTS OUTSIDE THEIR AGE GROUP

AWARDS:

Medals to first three male and female in age group events.

Male and Female Athlete of Meeting Awards in 1989/1990, 1991/1992, and 1993/1994 Age Groups.

Athlete of the Series Awards.

NB. There will be no points tables this year. Awards will be decided by a small awards panel.
